Very good for a weekend gardener, but needs strong arms to keep it at full extension. A security strap for the shoulder would help alot.

bought this because I have other black and decker tools that uses the same battery. got rave reviews from all over the web. you have to oil the chain and bar about every ten minutes or so and check the tension also according to the manufacter. it is a little heavy at handle with the extra pole but no loud noise and cord to get in the way. comes with a bottle for the oil and the wrench, which attaches to the unit for convenience. recommend it for those trimmings around the house and yard. comes with it's on carrying bag too.

This thing really cuts very well. Haven't had any problems with it so far. For the price, you can't beat it. I would recommend purchasing a spare battery if you are going to do a lot of trimming. Other than that, it is a great saw.

This is a great chainsaw. Easy and safer feeling to use. I am an middle-aged woman, but feel like I can keep my yard trimmed nicely because of this easy-to-charge and easy-to-use chainsaw. I just love the rechargable tools. I also love using the weed-eater of the same brand that is rechargeable. So easy to start!!

It is designed for lighter jobs and performs very well removing all dead limbs up in our trees. The fact that its overall length is divided into three parts, allows the center part to be optional ... you can have a tool 18 or 12 feet in length. We had a huge limb come down in a storm and I was able to use this tool to cut through more than 10 inches, working from all sides. The deluxe carry bag holds all three parts, the chain-saw oil, and instructions ... and wasn't even advertised as included! The battery is the same one used in all B & D 18 v. hand tools so interchangibility is great. I recommend it for all home-owner level tree maintenance.
