I PURCHASED THIS TOOL WITH AN EXTRA BATTERY AFTER A CO-WORKER TOLD ME ABOUT IT. I WAS VERY SURPRISED THAT IT HAS THE POWER IT DOES AND IT'S AN EXCELLENT TOOL FOR SMALL JOBS AROUND THE HOUSE AND FOR WORKING IN TIGHTER SPACES. NICE GOING BLACK AND DECKER!

I have always been a Milwaukee tool user but now that most of it is produced in China and they haven't lowered the price I' am looking into Black&Decker.And this Black&Decker has a nice drill system with this drill. I like the case it comes with and the small tool accessories. I' am still using it with the original charge after two weeks. Bought it for it's the size and weight to fit in my tool bag.(and the price wasn't bad too) It has good torque for it's size. It's primary use for me is for sheet metal.But, because it is not variable speed and no torque settings you will have difficulty starting a screw. And I have messed up screw heads because of no torque settings. Other than that I'am looking into other Black&Decker tools.

Eye catching tool, too bad they were discontinued. I can see why Black and Decker discontinued these great tools, they look amazing but at the same time look a little too non-standard. In-fact it kinda looks like a toy, in fact it looks like a tool made for woman, yes it's a little feminine like. But there looks don't do it justice, these are some very powerful tools. I tried driving some very long screws with these and they have more than enough torque even in the fast setting. Again allot of power from such a small form factor. The only thing that I don't like about this particular tool is there is no clutch or variable speed, which are very important if for example you are installing door locks all day long. Stripping/over-tightening/blemishing screws for these types of delicate jobs is very easy to do, specially in the fast setting. The other thing that doesn't help is, after you release the trigger, the motor keeps spinning until it runs out of momentum, so stopping where you want before the screw over-tightens is hard to control with this tool. If they would of put a clutch, a three step variable trigger and had designed the motor to stop immediately when you release the trigger it would be a perfect screw driver. On another note, it's kind of dumb they added a clutch to their screw driver/ drill but not on this tool, you would think the screw driver/drill would be used for much more brute force type of jobs or jobs requiring less carefulness, like for example screws through 4 X 4's or screws through walls or drilling pilot holes. Overall I think they designed a great looking tool but completely forgot about function. I do like their looks very much and love their shape but not too happy about the things I mentioned. They do make a good collectors items for tool freaks, they'd look nice as display models.

Very pleased with this purchase. Used it within two days of receipt to install a large metal sign. The low speed/high torque setting allowed me to remove the bolts with ease. A friend had a larger, heavier Skill drill but was unable to drill through the heavy gauge steel of the sign. This device, on high speed, drilled through with no effort. Light weight made it a pleasure to use. Battery lasted through the whole job. It is now my "go to" drill/driver for chores around the house.

Light weight, lots of power, and works good. My only complaint is that it does not have a clutch, the high and low speed setting works good though.
